Little Pampered Dog News Highlights August 18, 2014

We’ve started a new section for the website where we are highlighting daily news that we think you might enjoy or need to know about. Almost every day we’ll highlight those critical news items that can’t wait until the next magazine issue.

Our highlights for Monday, August 18, 2014 is below:

1.  Don’t Hire a Pet-Sitter on Craigslist.

Doesn’t it go without saying that you shouldn’t hire a pet sitter on Craigslist? Fortunately this family got lucky and were able to recover Fluffy. I am sorry to be so judgemental  but would you hire a sitter for your child on Craigslist or a care-taker for the elderly from Craigslist? Oh wait…that’s right, some people are still doing that. (Shake my head!) This stuff happens people, be very careful who you leave your dog with. Anyhow, this story has a happy ending. Check it out here:

2. US Bans Import of Sick Dogs.

Simple economics at work. Ban the sale, remove the demand and you’ll remove the supply. I get that. I still, in my heart, feel sad for all sick dogs everywhere though. What do you think?
